Public meeting in 14 LS constituencies; Amit Shah, Nadda will be present

GUWAHATI: The ‘Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan’ will be organized in 14 Lok Sabha constituencies. A public meeting will be organized in every constituency from June 11 to June 30. A meeting will be held in Nagaon Lok Saha constituency at Hojai on June 27, where Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be attending. On June 19, a meeting in Sivsagar at Korhat Constituency will be held, where BJP national president JP Nadda will be attending.

Talking to the media, state BJP president Bhabesh Kalita said Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will be present in the meetings to be held at the Lok Sabha constituencies of Diphu, Tezpur, Lakhimpur, Jorhat, and Dhubri as the chief guest. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will be present in Guwahati, Mangaldoi, Koliabor, and Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituencies as the Chief Guest. The party’s state president, Bhabesh Kalita, will be present in the two meetings organised in Barak Valley and also in Kokrajhar, Dhubri, and Barpeta Lok Sabha constituencies. On the other hand, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju will be present at the meeting in the Koliabor Lok Sabha constituency as the Chief Guest. The Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju are to be present in the meeting to be attended by Union Minister Amit Shah, organised at Nagaon’s Hojai. The CM is also to attend the meeting at Jorhat Lok Sabha constituency, where the President will to be present.

In accordance with the Maha Janasampark Abhiyan, the state president of the party also gave a few insights on the various projects initiated by the centre’s NDA government in the past nine years. Social empowerment is another mission of the Modi government. 36 lakh women have received free gas connections. Also, 45 lakh toilets have been constructed. Almost one lakh people have been incorporated into the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana. 45 lakh people have been incorporated into the Pradhan Mantri Jeevanjyoti Bima Yojana. The distribution of Aayushman Bharat cards has started in the state. 80 lakh people have been provided with the facility of a Jan Dhan account. In the education sector, six new engineering colleges and six new women’s colleges have been established. A forensic college has been established in Guwahati.

The success of the various socio-economic schemes implemented by the Assam government under the guidance of the central government is known to all. The central government has also opened 7770 crore rupees for Assam for the royalty on crude oil. Assam has also received special financial assistance from the 14th Finance Commission. Many G-20 meetings have been organised in Assam so far.
